You feel like you are suffocating, chocking

You’re startled when John is yanked away from you and you reach out for him, looking horrified. But it’s too late. They both disappear into the floor in a puddle of red blood. You scream at the floor and bang your fists, splashing blood everywhere and generally getting nothing accomplished. Then you sit there for a while, just staring at the spot where they’d been standing.

You flinch back from Karkat’s reaction and suddenly burst into tears, full on sobbing. You sit on the floor and curl up into a ball, grabbing at your wrists and tearing them open so they bleed. You lower lip is gnawed to bits in your anxiety.

“i-im sorry im sorry IM SORRY IM SORRY. I DIDNT MEAN FOR THIS TO HAPPEN IM SORRY. i-i was just lonely b-but it was okay because other me was happy and h-had all his quadrants filled! i w-was just trying to help i just w-wanted to help so m-maybe hed accept me but i made it all worse and then s-spider was gonna leave and i couldnt let him i couldnt let him and then lamp came and i got so mad!!!” You sob into your hands.

Y-you can h-have lampy back i th-think spider hurt h-him worse than i was ever planning to. b-but i cant bring spidey. he w-wants to stay. he t-told me he loves me t-that hes mine and only mine. d-do you know what its like h-hearing that after so much i hate? i c-cant. b-but ill bring you to them okay ill bring you to them.”

Daves had calms you…but only slightly…and then the freak masquerading as your ex speaks again

After what CKK said to you, you have no sympathy for someone who is basically him. 

you just want Spider back, safe and sound.

You grab John’s hand and rub circles in the back of it while you rub your other hand against his shoulder softly. He can’t freak out right now, it’s not going to solve anything and, judging from this disturbingly anxious and childlike shadow, might actually drive him away.

You smile at John lovingly and blush a little just because he’s around you. Wow he makes your blood pumping organ do funny things. You’re a little upset too because he’s only really here to see Spider.

“dont w-worry john, ill take you to spider just like im gonna take ‘kk’ to lampy.” You tell him. Then you turn to Karkat with a frown and your lower lip shakes a little.

“i tried my b-best to get him to respond but he w-wont even eat or anything. i d-didnt mean to hurt h-him that bad honest! i d-dont even dislike the guy i was j-just lost in fury when h-he tried to take spidey away and i d-didnt mean to. m-maybe you can h-help him snap out of this.”

You pap John’s back gently, trying to calm him a little. You can tell he’s getting a little aggravated and you know he really doesn’t want to be around any form of ckk at this time. But you also don’t want him antagonizing the guy who has the upper hand. You try to reason with the shadow up a little.

“I Know You Really Want To See John But This Is Hardly The Way To Go About It. Hell Be More Likely To Accept You If You Simply Return His Matesprit Than If You Continue To Deny Him.”

You are rather startled by the shadows appearance. His looks remind you of Karkat when he was younger and wide eyed. Not so harsh and closed off. But you’ve never known Karkat to be so excitable and bouncy. It’s disconcerting to see so you decide to keep your mouth shut and let John do the talking.

You look to Dave and quietly walk through the hive. You hear a sound a freeze, glancing at Dave before looking around a corner…ah, Empkat got here befoe you. Ok good. 

“dave, thii2 ii2 karkat. he ii2 lamp2 mate2priit” you say, though know well enough to make sure you keep between them. You are pretty sure Dave still wants to hurt him for hurting you. 

“hii karkat. ok he 2aiid he wanted two meet me here…he ha2 two be around 2omewhere. ii dont thiink he know2 you two are here though…”

You purse your lips and tense up at the sight of Karkat. You still haven’t forgiven him for what he did to your moirail. You stand a bit closer to John unconsciously but extend your hand regardless because you are polite.

“Hello Karkat. It Is Very Nice To Meet You I Suppose. Especially Given Your History.” 

You tone is clipped and rather sarcastic. 

You gather up Daniel in your arms as well as a blankie you made him and some mashed foods that youve kept in jars just for him. You put all the required materials in a bag and then hurry to the transportalizer room and punch in Eridan’s coordinates.
